I think you should buy stuff.

Treat yourself. Live your rich life. Not because you need more things.

But because we all could use more practice feeling like a person who actually gets what they want.

Buying things isn’t a moral failure. Most “don’t buy anything” messaging is just repackaged guilt. Your rich life is allowed to include nice things.

Indulging isn’t responsible. It’s a signal to your brain. When you give yourself permission to enjoy life, you reinforce a core belief: I am someone who gets to have nice things.

Intentional spending is self-care and self-improvement. People love to preach about discipline. But discipline without joy becomes a prison. Giving yourself joy is leverage.

Most people under-spend on the things that make their life feel richer:

The trip. The tool. The comfort. The upgrade. The convenience. The thing that makes everyday life 10% easier or 20% happier.

You don’t need to justify your pleasure with productivity.

You can buy something just because you want it. That’s enough.
